The state of Puebla, in central Mexico, will host the first edition of Latino Gastronomic, from September 4 to 7, 2025. This event will pay tribute to cacao, considered one of the sacred products of Mesoamerican roots, according to its organizers at a press conference this Wednesday.
“This event is a professional congress and a culinary festival aimed at the general public. In this first edition, we pay tribute to cacao; it is a bridge between cultures, traditions, and territories,” explained Sandra Hernández, director of Latino Gastronomic.
As part of the presentation of this international congress and festival of Latin American gastronomy, it was announced that 50 restaurants with different dishes and 30 chefs from both national and international backgrounds will participate during the four days of activities, who will share techniques and trends in global cuisine with the Latin American gastronomic sector.
Hernández also stated that this is the first time that an event of this magnitude has been organized, and it will be supported by the Girona Gastronomic Forum and the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC) in Mexico.
Learning from culinary stars
The congress, which will bring together nearly 5,000 attendees, will also be a platform for dialogue, learning, and connection, featuring chefs such as Mexican Carmen 'Titita' Ramírez, Bolivian Marsia Taja, recognized as the best Latin American chef in 2024, and Catalan pastry chef Lluc Crusellas, world champion chocolatier.
- To take advantage of the invited talent, the program includes masterclass sessions with renowned chefs, as well as networking opportunities, roundtables, tastings, themed dinners, live music, and cultural experiences.
In addition, this event, organized by Pronus, will bring together producers, researchers, and culinary enthusiasts, where key figures in gastronomy will be recognized with the Ambassador of Latin Cuisine and Alma Latina awards.
