Joan Roca, as head chef, is recognized as one of the best chefs in the world thanks to his restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, located in Girona. Awarded three Michelin stars, this restaurant has been considered the best in the world in several editions of The World's 50 Best Restaurants list (2013 and 2015). Since its opening in 1986, with Joan at the helm and his brother Josep as sommelier, they have created a culinary proposal that blends technical innovation with the essence of Catalan cuisine. Later, their brother Jordi Roca joined as pastry chef. In addition to El Celler de Can Roca, the Roca brothers have expanded their gastronomic empire. This year, their restaurant Espai Roca, located in Sant Julià de Ramis, received a Michelin star, bringing their total to four Michelin stars across their establishments.
